My eyes snapped open to the yawning darkness around me. I was unaware of the time, as my alarm clock was now dull as apposed to its usual dull Nixie-Orange, but what held my attention was the dull breathing from the far corner of my room. I tried to hide under the covers of my bed as the breathing drew near, the uneven sound of palm-like pads and some organic tapping I could not place coming closer. I could feel the hot, damp, breath flowing over me, my nerves rattling as I dared to sneak a look at the dark figure. My shaking hands reached to the lamp beside the alarm clock, and with a light press, the room was illuminated. What I witness before me was not like anything I had witness before.
